Smartgeotag.ai is an intelligent tool designed to automatically organize and geotag your photo collections. It solves the common problem of having thousands of digital photos without location data, making it difficult to remember where they were taken or to view them on a map.

Unlike traditional tools that require manual input for every single photo, Smartgeotag.ai uses a hybrid approach:

1. File Analysis: It looks at your file and folder names for clues (e.g., "Summer Vacation Paris 2023").
2. Artificial Intelligence: For photos where the location isn't obvious from the name and to give more precise results, it uses advanced AI to "look" at the image and recognize landmarks, landscapes, and architectural styles to pinpoint the location.

The result is a fully geotagged photo library that you can view on a map, search by location, and keep organized forever. It's designed to be simple for beginners but powerful enough for professional photographers and archivists.

On supported browsers, Smartgeotag.ai also offers Direct Write, which lets you write updates directly back into your original files. If Direct Write is not available or you prefer the classic workflow, the standard upload + ZIP download flow is always available.
